The Hertz Beat Rundown #1

This marks the inception of "The Hertz Beat Rundown," which will be a brief collection of articles I've found informative, fascinating, bizarre, enlightening, knowledgeable, and so on. The rundown will be posted weekly on Mondays, covering the last week's posted articles. Topics include pop culture, politics, entertainment, et cetera, and will involve a revolving cast of categories depending on what's peaked my interest personally and the interest of the public-at-large.

Pop Culture

Author J.J. McCorvey goes in-depth about Lemonade's success not only as a musical endeavor but also as a business venture. The article highlights the ability of the pop star to transform a potential negative narrative into a positive one and how other businesses are following her lead when it comes to creating and managing their own business stories.

Brian Shumway's photo series highlights these professional Disney Princesses in settings outside their norm.

Politics

Guns have flash-panned back into the spotlight after Orlando, and Daniel Hayes gives us a gun owner's perspective on limiting rifle clip capacities. As far as opinion pieces go, I thought it established some compelling ideas that backed up one possibility for beginning to stop gun violence. Small steps, people.
